Suggested
things to take
Clothes -Warm sweater/ jacket/ pullover,
neat T-shirts, one or two pairs of jeans, good pair of formal
leather shoes and a few formal clothes including ties, good
pair of sports shoes for outdoor activity, undergarments,
handkerchiefs.
Toiletries
& Stationery - Toothbrushes, tongue cleaners, shaving
kit, basic medicines (Vicks, Amrutanjan, Zinda Tilismath,
Aspirin, Saridon, etc), good ballpoint pens and long notebooks.
Cooking
Items (if you plan to cook) - Small cooker, fry pan, kadai
(flat bottom), spices for the first few days (you can then
buy them in Indian stores), pickles.
Valid
Indian Driving License (you can drive on this license for
a year). You don't need an international driving license if
you have a valid Indian license.
All
academic originals and any other qualification and experience
certificates.
For
a hassle free customs clearing
Do not carry any plant or animal
materials such as the parts of plants, seeds, roots, animal
food and alike.
Do not take dairy products such as sweets,
milk, cheese etc.,
Items
that need to be declared include:
Food, and the products and ingredients
used for preparing food
Plants
and parts of plants (alive or dead), including cane, straw
and rattan
Animals (alive or dead), or products
from animals, biological specimens
Equipment used with animals
Camping gear, golf clubs, hiking boots,
shoes, equestrian equipment and used bicycles
You also need to declare cash that is
in excess of NZ$10,000

on the things you can import into New Zealand. If you are
in doubt about any items, declare them. There
is no penalty for declaring items that cannot be brought
into New Zealand.
