The
two main reasons to choose New Zealand as your study destination
are:
EASY
VISA & EASY PR
Besides
these, listed below are some of the other important New
Zealand Government Policies that are beneficial to International
students:
1.
Guaranteed 12 months Work Permit after successful
course completion.
2. No nonsense Study
& Settle Policy.
3. Work while you study.
4. No personal visa interview
and NO outright visa rejection.
5. Married Students -
Work Permit for Spouse.
6. Land in the country
2 weeks before course starts.
7. Level of study or subject does not matter.
8. Further education after acquiring Permanent
Residency (PR).
9. You only have to buy a one way ticket
to New Zealand.
1.
Guaranteed Job Search Visa after successful course completion.
If you complete your course successfully, you automatically
get a 12 months 'Work Permit'.
In most instances this permit will be done at your institution
itself. This allows you to work full time in any job of
your choice. However if you want to get a New Zealand Permanent
Residency (PR), then you have to find a job that is relevant
to the course that you have completed. Eg: If you have completed
a course in IT, then you have to find a job as a programmer,
analyst, etc. This will immediately give you a 2 years work
permit with all rights like free medical, etc. Upon receiving
this 2 years work permit then you can apply for PR and normally
will get it within 3-4 months. This is the fastest PR pathway
anywhere in the world.
If
you do not find a job that is relevant to your course, you
can continue to work in any job for 12 months and try and
recover some of the investment you have made towards your
study in NZ. You will that way end up by recovering a bulk
of the fees you have paid and also end up with an international
experience which will come in handy if you have to return
to India. But your main focus should be to try and get a
relevant job and secure the PR somehow. There are plenty
of jobs in NZ, and while it may not be easy to get one,
if you are good enough, you will easily get one.
2.
No nonsense Study & Settle Policy.
Many countries ask you prove at the time of the student
visa application 'why you will return to India after course
completion'? We believe this is a stupid policy because
after investing so much money, time and effort a student
needs to be given the chance to work and move towards Permanent
Residency. New Zealand has a no-nonsense
'Study & Settle Policy'. At the time of the student
visa stage itself you can boldly say that you intend to
study, take the 12 months work permit, find a relevant job
and eventually get New Zealand Permanent Residency.
3.
Work while you study.
You are allowed to work 20 hours per week while you study
and can full time i.e. 40 hours per week during summer vacation.
This is clearly mentioned on your Student
Visa itself. This will allow you to earn enough to take
care of your living expenses while studying. Click
here to see the calculation of how much you will earn and
what your expenses are.
4.
No personal visa interview and NO outright visa rejection.
The Immigration Department of New Zealand NEVER rejects
a visa applicatioon outright without giving you a chance
to explain. Compare this with other countries who do not
give you an opportunity to mention your side of the story.
In fact as an Accredited
Agency, we can say with a lot of confidence that once
we send the file through our agency, you are almost through
as we do all the pre-checks that are required to ensure
you are a genuine student.
5.
Married Students - Work Permit for Spouse.
We have come out with a humourous ad line which says 'Jodha
Studies and Akbar Works'. This is to explain the beautiful
policy that allows the spouse of a student to get a full-time
work permit for the duration of the course. This policy
is applicable to those students who are studying any Post
Graduate course or a course that is listed on Long
Term Skills Shortage List of New Zealand. This is a
great opportunity for one partner to study and work part-time
and for the other partner to work full-time. If the partner
working full-time gets a relevant job to his/her past educational
qualifications, then the couple will end up getting the
Permanent Residency (PR) even before the studies of the
student are completed. A great policy that many of our clients
have utilised very well.
6.
Land in the country 2 weeks before course starts.
The Immigration Department of New Zealand allows you to
land 2 weeks before the course starts. In some instances
they have even allowed students to land 4 weeks before.
This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the country,
find accommodation and a part-time job and settle down before
your course starts. You can then start attending classes
without the tension of doing all these things.
7.
Level of study or subject does not matter.
It does not matter if you are already a graduate and opting
to go for a diploma course. It also does not matter if you
choose a subject that has no relation with your past studies.
For instance you may be a commerce graduate opting to go
for a diploma in IT. As long as you are able to explain
clearly why you have chosen that course, there is no danger
of not getting the visa. We will help you with the course
selection and also create a good 'Statement of Purpose'
(SOP) that will help the visa officer understand clearly
and give a favorable decision.
8.
Further education after acquiring Permanent Residency (PR).
Once you acquire your Permanent Residency and if you want
to study further, then you become eligible for study
loans from the Government of New Zealand. You can avail
of these loans and pay after you complete the course. Your
dependence o your parents can stop after you get your PR.
You can also continue to work as much as you like while
pursuing your further studies after PR. The 20 hours per
week restriction goes away.
9. You only have to buy a
one way ticket to New Zealand.
Many countries ask you to prove your
intentions of returning to India by asking you to buy a
two-way ticket. In principle this is supposed to be strong
enough proof that you will complete your studies and return
to India. However, when you are going to study in New Zealand
you board the plane with a one way ticket. All the student
friendly policies described on this page are aimed at helping
you to study and settle in New Zealand after successful
course completion. If you are good they want you there.
And that’s why they do not ask you for stupid requirements
like a two way ticket. In fact on your
student visa there is a phrase ‘Outward Passage Waived’.
This means you do not have to have a two way ticket when
you are going to study & settle in NZ. Enjoy.
